Wow, Thursday already hope your week has been going well.
Well I've been editing, taking photos, RE-taking photos, stampin', getting ready for my Catalog Kick off..Yes, I've been super busy.
I have been wanting to do this card for awhile now. It's called the Hinge Card. I saw it in our Stampin' Success leaflet we get as Demo's every month! Great samples and it always has great little "WOW" features.
So last weekend I was going through my scraps, BOY, I've got tons! So I'm using them up. This is what I came up with. I just HAD to use Stampin' Up!s new set "Lots of Bots". I really LOVE this set. I played with it lots yesterday.
Ok, so below is what it looks like open! This is super easy to do to. Which I like. What did I use?
Card Recipe
Stamp Set: Lot's of Bots #115293
Ink: Black Staz-on
Cardstock: Kraft, So Saffron, Regal Rose, Whisper White
Accessories: Regal Rose Grograin Ribbon, SU Markers, Brad, Scallop edge punch, White gel pen
*All supplies used are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted.
Measurements you ask? Here goes:
Background piece (Kraft here) is the standard card size 4 1/4 x 5 1/2
The top half which is So Saffron is 4 1/4 x 3, the botton half which is Certainly Celery is is the say size 4 1/4 x 3. Ok, now stamp your image and matt it as desired. What I did for the message on the Kraft piece I placed the Certainly Celery on the bottom and used it as a guide and Stamped my Greeting. Use the Scallop Edge punch if desired on your bottom piece.
Now to create the hinged front, Ppace the scallop edge of the Certainly Celery card stock over the bottom of the So Saffron card stock, overlapping it about 1/2". Punch a hole through both layers using your 1/16" punch or paper piercing tool then attach your brad.
Now adhere the bottom and sides of the Certainly Celery piece onto your background piece..here the Kraft piece. Don't adhere the So Saffron piece (top) or your card won't move. Tuck that piece under the Celery piece.
Now just slide the So Saffron card up and to the left to reveal your message. Voila!
Hope this made sense…if not please let me know I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have. Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Stampin',
