Quick post….

Ok, last post got wiped out. UGH! Operator error! ; )  I can't believe it is Saturday already, thi vacation just flew by.  Ok, so I was able to make a card.  I know just 1.  I totally forgot my paper cutter. WOW, what a necessity that thing is.  I can't cut a straight line if my life depended on it.  BUT I did manage to pull out a card.  I usually don't post personal photos but I wanted to share some photos from vacation.  This first one is the view from our room, the last 3 are photos from our neighbors who so "kindly" left there breakfast out on the patio. The Sea Gulls loved it though. My son on the other hand wasn't Happy at all.  Anyway thanks for stopping by and I'll post my card in a few along with some more information.

Purse Tutorial is here!

Ok, I have been working on this tutorial for the last 2 days, between my almost 4 yr old and my 17 yr olds finally school days….Whew!!!  Here we go if you have any questions please don't hesitate to email me or leave me a comment!  Although I do have to say I'll be on vacation starting Sunday and coming back the following Sunday Father's Day!  I am so looking forward to it.  Of course I'll have my Lap Top and Stamps, and…camera…LOL!  7 Days w/out stamping??? Are you Kidding??? LOL! Can't leave home with out them! Ok, back to the directions……

DSC00820 Trim your 12 x 12 to 8 1/2 x 11 (Cut the 11" first) this will be your handle. Score the 11" side at 4 1/2 & 6 1/2 (I was doing a 5 1/2" mark but realized no need for it) ; )

Crease the Scores w/your bone folder

DSC00822 Next as you can see in the photo on the 8 1/2" side you are going to mark with a pencil 2 inches on each side TOP & BOTTOM.

You will have 4 pencil marks

DSC00824

Then take the ruler and line it up to the 1st score line. Take your bone folder and make a a line and fold it.

Or you can fold the DSP over to make the crease. Just use a flat ruler.

DSC00825

Your piece should look like this.

Disregard that crease you see popping up, You don't need it.

DSC00826 Top & Back trim of purse Cut 2 pieces 6 1/2 x

Cute 2 pieces 6 1/2 c 1" for the Top & Back trim of your Purse.  I used C. Celery here.

Add the scallops, you can also put little dots with your White Gel Pen! Looks really good, I added them.

DSC00827

Attach to the Middle of the top  and back  of your purse with snail.

DSC00828

Side Straps – (2) 2 x 7 score the 7" side at 1 1/8 on each side. Use Sticky Strip as shown.

DSC00829 Attach Pieces as shown.

Piece should now look like this.

DSC00831

Use snail to attach the top of the side strap as shown on both sides.  No need for Sticky strip as this part will be held together later with a Jumbo Brad.

DSC00832

Bring up the sides and flip the side strap down on both sides.

DSC00833

Piece should look like this.Handle should be 1 x 12 use snail on both ends and attach to the inside of the purse.  I use the inside as my guide.  With this purse I put the handle all way  down to the edge of the Side Strap. Do this on both ends…

Then attach your Jumbo Brads or Regular Brads and you are done.

DSC00834

Ta Da!!! All done.

You can also use the Bloomin Die Cuts in the Occassions Mine to attach to the sides to! Or the Scallop Punch, the Flower Punch…Oh the ideas…

For the little Pocket Card  I did the following:

DSC00837 DSC00835

DSC00838 6 x 3 pc. of cardstock scored at 3, 5 1/8, 5 5/8  Fold and tape as shown using sticky strip. White insert measures 3 x 2.  Ok, I think that is IT!  OMG! I hope you enjoyed this Tutorial!

OH, The little strip of DSP on the pocket measure 1 x 3 (the size of a nugget wrapper) I would LOVE to see your creations, please send me a link so I can take a peek! ; )

Gotta love the purses…..

Ok, these are the purses that I've been trying to share and just couldn't get a great  photo.  These were the best.  I am HOOKED on these purses.  They are made with a sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of DSP.  Now for the pattern.  I was at a Card Making Event with my Aunt and they had TONS of prizes, I won like 5 differnent things.  Anyway, the 1st time I saw this purse didn't take it, 2nd time I won it was still there and didn't take it, 3rd time it was STILL there and thought OK, it's mine!! I am so glad, I took it apart and couldn't believe how easy it was to make.  Some of the folds are a little tricky and am in the process of making a tutorial, I HAVE no IDEA how to make PDF's, I think I need to learn huh?  This might be one of those projects that may need to be on Video! YIKES! ; ) We'll see. But this will be a class that I am having in my home on June 24th.  Will have a photo of ALL the purses we'll be doing in this class!  More info and photos to come but just had to post this before I go to sleep!  I have TONS more to share so stay tuned and Enjoy!

Group Of Purses

This is a Group of all the Purses I've been working on.  The little purse is one that I did all by myself! YEP, all the measurements!  ; )

This is another project I'm hooked on! LOVE these purses and how roomy they are inside.

ECoast Prep Purse with Notecard

This one is my Favorite!  I just love how it came out with the East Coast Prep DSP from Stampin' Up!

OH, the little note card will be dangling from the Handle too.

Bali Breeze Purse

This one is the first one that I did with the Bali Breeze! Love this one too! I can't wait for this class.  this one the Note Card is attached to the front of the Purse with SU Dimensionals.

Ok, thats it for today! Need to get some rest for more goodies tomorrow!

As always thanks for stopping by and…

More Stampin Goodies to Share…

Ok, Last Sunday I had a Booth at the Vista Chocolate Festival!  It turned out to be a nice day. Met SO MANY nice People!  I wanted to share the items that I made.  I had a blast making them! Talk about Super Fun and Easy!  Thanks to Angies great Video Tutorial I was able to re-create them! Check it out HERE You'll be there for HOURS! ; )  1st photo is a display of my Table w/the goodies. Yes, you'll see more Card Pouches! ; ) LOVE those things! Enjoy and if you have any questions please let me know. I hope the photos don't come out all weird.  I still haven't got the hang of it yet. I'm trying though! ; )

DSC00810

Ok, this is the Display.  If you have questions on anything that you see please don't hesitate to ask me!  I used so much of everything!  All things used are from Stampin' Up!

The next Photo is just a close up of the Cute little bags. On Angies Site they are called "Blessing Mix" I think? I was gonig crazy looking at all her goodies.

DSC00805

What I really like about these CUTE Bags is that you only use a 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of card stock or DSP like you see here.

DSC00803 The next photo are the CUTE Ghiradelli Chocolate Holders! LOVE These and talk about EASY!  They were really FUN and FAST to do! Especially with the PUN Fun Set, Fun & Fast Notes and Gretting Galore too!

DSC00801 This is an open and closed view.  Ok, back to more stampin' and I'll share more later! Yes, I do have more! I have Purses, purses and more purses. Thanks for stopping by.
